Monteiro and Choong Charged by the GMC

Can the GMC spot the obvious?

I have a sense of humor. During battles I often engage this sense of humour. It is the 1st May 2010. In May 2007, Worcestershire NHS Trust had lied for the General Medical Council's defence in R v General Medical Council Ex Parte Pal. The two consultants at the time mocked the fact that the GMC had opened an investigation on me, made a grand fanfare about it and advertised it to everyone in the Trust. Subsequently, no one kept in touch with me from Worcestershire Mental Health Trust showing us all that they were never real friends in the first place. Showtime is always interesting for people. Kindness is probably more difficult. Fortunately for me, the GMC dropped the investigation before what the GMC call " Rule 7". Unfortunately, for Dr Monterio and Dr Choong, matters have not been quite so fortunate. These are the Rule 7 letters supplied on the three year anniversary of the events. The smile has probably been wiped off both their faces since they no longer hold the positions they once did. I have often mention this " Reversal of Fortune" technique but few play the kind of tactics that I engage in. I have a zero tolerance policy. I have absolutely no sympathy when in battle. I got myself out of the GMC before the case examiners even had time to breath and I used my own case law to push these two cowboys into the GMC. There is some-kind of poetic justice in that.

The impact of the lies by these consultants are as follows

1. The GMC are open to investigate me if I return to the Register
2. The case law in R v GMC Ex Parte Pal has been damaged quite considerably and irreparably. This has affected the cases of many innocent doctors in the UK ie that Trusts are allowed to fire, doctors mid GMC investigation then lie about it. Moreover, that the GMC's damaging initial disclosure is now not recognised as being prejudicial to the employment prospects of a doctor.

The issue about the doctors is this. The biggest fattest mistake to make was to make conflicting statements to the documentation available. The second biggest fattest mistake to make was to underestimate me. I may have been a very quiet staff grade - but I was by no means unintelligent and I make it my business to kick back. I am uncertain what the GMC plan to do with this complaint but they can be sure that I will judicially review a negative outcome. So, this issue isn't going to disappear in the next five or more years especially when a Employment Tribunal Chairman supports me.

David Cameron's Journey to Downing Street. The Chocolate Theory

DC's Chocolate Diet

I had a comment late yesterday about Thorntons and David Cameron. Chocolate has many benefits to the state of a person. I don't simply talk about Thorntons for a sake of it. Everyone has noticed that DC has been tired. He has only recently been bereaved [ that is in the world of bereavement, not much time has past since his son's death]. David though is a man who went back to work very soon and has fought extremely well. DC is a human being and like every human being, he probably does suffer from exhaustion and even super humans tire when they are listening to the hotair of El Gordo.

El Gordo is in trouble. Thats because El Gordo has no idea about people. He keeps making one guffaw after another and we wish the Tower of London was open so he could just be locked away for public safety more than anything else. Labour's stage managed campaign is not convincing anyone. I am one of the victims of Nu Labour. They have often treated me with contempt. This is why I know that when I am nasty about Nu Labour, it is justified.

So back to chocolate - well DC needs some urgently. I would say a daily piece of chocolate would fine tune his performance and lead him to 10 Downing Street. As for Pretty Boy Clegg, not quite sure which Full Monty women's club he is going to frequent next. Even if Pretty Polly had mountains of chocolate, we wouldn't believe that there is a 3D version of Clegg locked somewhere in the Lib Dims closets.

So back to the theory behind DC's chocolate diet.

"A new study by scientists at the Nestle Research Center in Lausanne Switzerland has found more about the health benefits of dark chocolate and that enjoying this type of chocolate might not just be a tasty indulgence, but it also appears to lower levels of stress hormones in those who are feeling stressed out.

Add this to the growing number of potential benefits to your heart that come from dark chocolate and all those good-for-you flavonoids inside that tasty package, and you'll be choosing this delicious confectionary over any other kind.

Enjoying one dark chocolate candy bar daily for two weeks was found in this latest study to actually reduce levels of cortisol as well as the "fight or flight" hormones known as catecholamines in highly stressed people"

And then there is the effect on DC's brain

A special cocoa made to retain naturally occurring compounds called flavanols may have the potential to help maintain healthy brain function and chart the course for future research that could lead to new solutions for preventing cognitive decline and dementia, according to a panel of scientists who presented new data at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

Several studies suggest that consumption of a special cocoa made to be rich in flavanols, a naturally occurring nutrient abundant in fresh cocoa, may improve blood vessel function. Now, scientists believe the potential blood flow benefits associated with consumption of this flavanol-rich cocoa may extend to the brain -- which could have important implications for learning and memory.“This research is impressive in that multiple laboratories are coming to the same conclusion about this flavanol-rich cocoa, and the findings give us completely new insights into how this flavanol-rich cocoa may impact health in a variety of ways not previously known,” said symposium organizer Harold H. Schmitz, Ph.D., chief science officer at Mars, Incorporated, which helped sponsor today’s symposium and has supported research on cocoa flavanols for more than 15 years. “The findings raise the possibility that products utilizing this cocoa could be developed to help maintain healthy brain function throughout several life stages. More research examining the potential of this cocoa in this important area of public health need is clearly warranted.”

So there we have it, a piece of Thorntons chocolates a day will keep DC in good shape. When he gets to 10 Downing Street, all us peasants expect large boxes of chocolates :) in exchange for this scientific advice. Of course, if DC puts himself on the chocolate diet, the grinning fool formally known as Tony Blair will really know what high blood pressure feels like at a Polyclinic.

Cameron for 10 Downing Street

DC at Number 2.
Source Daily Wail.

I have a lot of time for David Cameron. I think he is a man of depth and vision. I have always watched PMQs where David performs fantastically well. It is a shame that more people don't watch PMQs but there we go. The down part of the Conservative Party is their decision to have grubby old Andrew Mitchell as the MP in our area. So to look on the bright side, Mitchell's Spaniel is actually worth voting for. Molly is actually far more cute than the average MP in this area.

I believe David Cameron is about to make it to 10 Downing Street. If he arranged his style to the way he is at PMQs then he is bound to win over all the public. I am a great believer in change. I think on balance we had more freedom under the Conservatives rather than Labour.

Anyhow, I love good looking men. I don't mince my words about that. David is good looking and he looks best in a blue tie. If he gets into 10 Downing Street, not only will we have eye candy but we will probably have some proper management of the country. If the Conservative HQ is reading this, please do supply me with a autographed copy of the above picture. DC needs to supply some good pictures for women kind.

As Conservative HQ is aware, I have always wished DC well. In my view, all he needs is his spark and some Thornton's chocolates and he will be on his way to 10 Downing Street. After that, could someone put El Gordo in the Tower of London and throw away the key :). Thanks boys.

Dangerworld

GMC Panelists.
Its just a Gamble

So here we are, year two since the new draconian GMC procedures have been in force. More of my friends are being tied down by the General Medical Council. This week saw Sarah Myhill fighting for her registration. Dr Helen Bright is due for a review hearing. The GMC decided that they would add some documentation formatted by the resident blogsphere's oddball. This documentation went though no vetting procedures. The same happened to Myhill. Complainants are not vetted, the factual elements not analyzed and the upshot is that it is free season to complain about anything and everything to the GMC. So if your dog is not fed by a doctor, complain to the GMC, if the plants haven't been cleared in the garden, contact the GMC. If the doctor doesn't do what you want them to, complain to the GMC. So there we go, its a good season for complaints by serial nutters.

In a few weeks time Dr India will be fighting for his registration at a hearing. Dr Pakistan remains on a 18 month suspension and soon there will be a large tent outside the GMC Headquarters due to the large levels of doctors being prosecuted for errm "nothing particularly". My webmaster told me recently that if I did Mastermind on the subject of the General Medical Council, I would probably win. This is possibly because I believe in collecting data on the GMC. It is simply a hobby. This hobby is taking quite a nasty turn as I discover more and more about the functioning of the GMC. Their assessments are now illogical, Interim Order Panels are being abused and the GMC have no feedback mechanism to improve themselves.

I can't help noticing that one friend after another keeps being dropped into the GMC. The investigations are pointless. There was a point where no one was at the GMC. Now, two mothers have died and admitted to their sons that the GMC had a lot to do with their demise. The stress caused to them drove them to their graves. I suppose the world thinks its funny to have unemployed innocent doctors because complainants think its good fun just to use the GMC as a instrument of harassment.

Sure I am relieved, I don't have to face the GMC anymore. The fate of my friends does concern me and does upset me. And there is no point saying all this is none of my business. It is my business and if England was half decent, everyone would lend a hand to assist. Sadly few people do. Some just crow about being a True Brit but when push comes to shove they quickly conceal themselves under their duvet.

Mad Science - The Disinhibition effect

Bad Science Forums

It is worth contemplating the nature of people who spend hours on the internet debating rubbish. I for one am bad at social networking. I hate Facebook, I loath wasting my time debating crap and I would rather do something constructive. I find that the psychological influence of forums is detrimental to anyone.

I mentioned that the Bad Science Forums where becoming psychologically dysfunctional. Cyberpsychology has always been one of my pet interests. The world is becoming surreal where everyone appears to live in cyberspace. Due to group dynamics, some forums become quite advanced at their networking. They appear almost predatory. Cyberstalking is also fascinating. A friend of mine Paul Bocij writes some excellent papers. They are worth reading in detail. Here is one.

Here are the rest of his papers.

It is worth studying the forums on Bad Science. The dis-inhibition is noted in many posters. For the dis-inhibition effect, Jonas is a classical example. If everyone observes his posts, he relishes the idea of concealing himself - it probably gives him some kind of power from the insecurities that plague him in his daily life. It is also his assumption that the General Medical Council is the all seeing, all powerful organisation that will protect him. So far his identity is known to seven people. For those of us in the know, in the Wakefield Libel case, the GMC admitted they could not keep much secret. Their data protection history is dubious since they are known to leak like a sieve. Jonas dismisses my statements by his assumption that I am somehow deranged. I can of course understand his need to escape to Brazil. Cowards often tend to run. He relishes the idea of causing suffering to Sarah Myhill without repercussions [ so he thinks] to himself. These are of course characteristics of a cyberbully. Cyber bullies are often painfully insecure, inadequate and ill informed. I would prefer to write about Jonas without his real name. This is because no one can defame an anonymous person :). Jonas may wish to be aware of my pedigree - I am quick to anger, completely unpredictable, I do like watching the Incredible Hulk, I may turn green at certain times, I win litigation cases and sometimes even lose. Overall, I am far more savvy than Ben Goldacre. Being a diva doesn't suit me. I read 30 pages per 10 minutes. I type faster than any NHS secretary and I probably cover large amounts of work in 1/10 of the time taken by everyone else. Pre-Actions can on average be written in 7.5 minutes. I could go on but my ego often doesn't fit through a normal sized door :).

Anyhow, here is a bit about cyberpsychology.

"As you move around the internet, most of the people you encounter can't easily tell who you are. System operators and some technologically savvy, motivated users may be able to detect your e-mail or internet address, but for the most part people only know what you tell them about yourself. If you wish, you can keep your identity hidden. As the word "anonymous" indicates, you can have no name - at least not your real name. That anonymity works wonders for the disinhibition effect. When people have the opportunity to separate their actions from their real world and identity, they feel less vulnerable about opening up. Whatever they say or do can't be directly linked to the rest of their lives. They don't have to own their behavior by acknowledging it within the full context of who they "really" are. When acting out hostile feelings, the person doesn't have to take responsibility for those actions. In fact, people might even convince themselves that those behaviors "aren't me at all." In psychology this is called "dissociation." Source Psychology of Cyberspace

Ben Goldacre's Crackpot Farm. The Bad Science Forums.

Forum Frenzy.

I have warned Ben Goldacre once regarding the crazy psychology of his internet forums. There are those in some kind of frenzied state who are egged on by each other to subsequently make complaints to the General Medical Council about doctors. Some doctors are good and some are bad. Ben's negligence in dealing with a case some months ago resulted in the poor doctor being subjected to a harrowing time courtesy of the GMC. That too following the doctor's mothers death. Thanks Ben. You are so caring of your colleagues. Thankfully, the GMC dropped all charges after we mounted a rapid onslaught against the stupidity created on Ben's forums. Ben's forums are filled with pseudo intellectuals who feel they know it all.

I decided at the time, that I needed to raise the awareness of the onset of some disturbing internet psychology appearing on Bad Science. The last time, I spotted this kind of frenzied state was msbp.com. As many people know, I effected the take down on msbp.com . I then wrote about it here. Following this exposure, I was subjected to a GMC complaint that resulted in a court case - now being used against every doctor in the UK. So we can understand the results of crackpot behaviour.

The cyberpsychology of Bad Science's forums is becoming unhealthy. Ben though is too busy being famous to take note of this. Sarah Myhill's latest "anonymous" complainant assumes he is safe from being identified. The Bad Science discussion is listed here.

This is what the poster wrote.

"I actually find this quite funny as my initial contact with the GMC was just a speculative email to the general enquiries email asking whether it would actually be worth submitting another complaint given the failure of the previous 6 efforts. This was written with some haste during a coffee break and hence contained a few typo’s. Amusingly, after submitting my full complaint the GMC decided to use this email to front the complaint to Myhill *sigh*."

Well, Dr Anonymous , there is no anonymity on the internet. Some of us know the case law on how to extract your IP address and identity [as we have done it hundreds of times]. After we have done that, and if you are a doctor, we will reverse the complaint onto you. If not, there is always his workplace disciplinary procedure. It is of course easily done. I wonder if Dr Anonymous has heard of Motley Fool. Does Norwich Pharmacal ring any bells in that empty head of Dr Anonymous? Actually, perhaps we should call the gloating fool Jonas. Perhaps the big girls blouse will fight like a real man and stop "hiding behind the skirts of the GMC". Of course, identification is really easy really, we get the IP, we get the internet company and we get the address. It is about a 48 hour job if I put my mind to it. Besides, there is always the NightJack case to support Sarah. So Jonas, come out and play with the big girls for a change. Lets see who wins this game of hide and seek.

Anyhow, the disclosure will happen and it may happen soon. I outed the moderator of msbp.com. There will be no problems in outing Dr /Mr Anonymous. After that, we will do what was done to Dr Tim Woodman. The matter was faxed to all local papers, to every PCT and posted on the internet. In the end, Timbo became depressed. I can't help it if some doctors make vexatious complaints then can't sustain it.

Secondly, it is my view that all those who mock the innocent doctors facing the GMC should try it out themselves. I am open to provide advice to anyone wishing to make complaints about Ben Goldacre. Just to remind Ben - I don't like him messing with my friends . I also don't like the manner in which Bad Science is propagating into sea of vexatious complainants. Sarah is a friend. If this issue propagates courtesy of the crackpots on the Bad Science blog, it is likely to be given at a double dose back to the complainant.

So far two of my friends have gone down due to the Bad Science Forums. Either Ben controls it or he doesn't. The choice is his. I though am highly pissed off - and not a lot of people like it when I lose my patience.

Dim People in High Society

Nu Labour overrun by bimbos

While wallowing around my life for a while - i.e 38 years now, I have come across some of the most intelligent people in the most unexpected places. I rate my friend Arpad Toth has one of the most intelligent people I know. Toth is famed for beating a number of people in court. He doesn't do this just by being pretty. Of course, there is no doubt that Toth is sexy but Toth prides himself in not having any formal qualifications but is able to turn his mind to anything and everything. By comparison, during my detailed dealings with authority, I have indeed dealt with some very very dim people. The dimmest people I believe reside in the House of Lords. The second set of dim people probably reside in the General Medical Council and the third set reside in Nu Labour. There are two types of dim people. One set know they are dim and make a quick exit when they cannot respond to questions. The other set tend to develop a haughty kind of arrogance where they assume that titles bestow a certain level of intelligence on them. Of course, it doesn't. Testing the House of Lords is always fun. In my case, a number of Labour and Lib Dem peers have written to me citing their "ill health" for not responding to my queries. Of course, a week later most of them were spotted asking questions in the House of Lords. This is what is known as "pulling a sickie". They come into the first set.

Secondly, it amazes me that the Peers are paid a fairly good amount of money yet their problem solving ability is terribly poor. This is seen in their responses to many people who write to them. I often wonder why the tax payers fund such haughty arrogant time wasters.

Thirdly, there are many in authority who believe that because they work in the GMC, CHRE, SRA. the NHS Ombudsman or any regulatory body gives them the right to believe that they are in any way intelligent. Of course, few of them are intelligent or analytical. I am not the most intelligent person out but I can problem solve. Actually, most people can problem solve. It is simply that those in authority cannot do so at all. Every day people copy me into their emails to authority and every day I read these emails in despair. Those that use the processes in these organisations fail to understand that they are actually dealing with arrogant dim people employed by these government quangos. They are essentially paid to dismiss complainants. Small people rarely win in this big world.

I am of course immune to insults on my intelligence by these authorities. I believe most people with justified concerns experience this. One method used is to insult the person raising the concerns. I suppose, I have developed the confidence to spot dim people with no insight. It is always fun to test people in authority who are dim. Of course, once you have proven their spectacular dimness, they often escapade down the hatch specially created for them. I often have endless fun on this subject when communicating with the drones at the General Medical Council and of course I win a lot of my arguments there. Other people will have communicated with the NHS Ombudsman or the Health Commission. In my view, other authorities are not quite as fun as the General Medical Council. Although their super regulator, the CHRE, are probably coming in at number 2. The CHRE though are more bungling dimwits with a total lack of insight. The organisation is generally filled with people who sit around looking pretty and get paid. The GMC has developed their approach to complainants as an artform of obstructive behaviour.

James Landon is probably right about the system - it doesn't work. It is designed to fail all victims and there is no point approaching it. There is a disintegration of society, one that shows us a lack of accountability. Due to this feedback failure, systems are gradually failing and I am not quite sure if anyone can do anything about it. It is in Nu Labour's interest to ensure all these system fail. No doubt, it may be the reason why dim people are employed by these organizations. The dimness is special, it is drone-like dimness with an inability to think laterally. As David Southall once said, his border collie had more intellect than the Chief Exec of the GMC.

The Raven.

During my battles with the great unwashed in authority, one thing that amused me no end are the names of the characters that work in these places. They all have a interesting way of dealing with those who raise concerns. They are virtually ignored. I have noticed this in issues I have and other people have raised. It is a distinctly Common Purpose way of conducting themselves. Then it is rather entertaining to observe the manner in which your original concerns are twisted, missed out and manipulated. The assumption of course is that you [ the person who raises the concerns] are dim and they are clever. The issue about authority is that most people dealing with your concern have an IQ less than that of a crow. Secondly, their half baked tactics on intelligent people doesn't quite go down well.

Now, the General Medical Council has a lady called Ms St Bernard dealing with the issues in Gosport. Obviously, the Gosport Campaigners and I couldn't resist the joke about Ruff Times. Then, one of the GMC departments sports a character called Ms Oregano. Her emails to Dr Helen Bright are full of Neapolitan surprise - we aren't quite sure which spice mix is used by the GMC these days because her emails have all the words but not quite in the right order. It is just so tempting to nickname her the Pizza Girl. And this is what we often do. Then there is the Information Team at the GMC. They have a man named Julian Graves. Ironically, Julian Graves is also a famous Fruit and Nut shop. We can understand the similarities there.

Of course, in the past, I have found it ironic that North Staffordshire NHS Trust has two respiratory physicians named Dr Pant-in and in the past Dr Spit-ieri. I wasn't really sure who spat or who panted first in that place. Maybe it was just communal spitting and panting.

The best one I have discovered of late is a Mr S.L Raven at the Solicitors Regulatory Authority. He is clearly no crow but it is rather an irony that Ravens are associated with all things dark - and in this case, he is associated with solicitors :). Of course, in many fictional novels, lawyers are portrayed as demons or vampires. We can understand why. I often parody legal advisors in this manner. Mr Raven though amused me no end. He does peck away at his papers although he doesn't always read them the right way up. Birds tend to be like that though.

Historically in many cultures the raven is seen as a sign that evil and unpleasant events are about to occur. The Raven of course is a poem made famous by Edgar Allen Poe. It is a fascinating poem - do read it here. Those who have faced some of the systems in the UK will understand the poem - The Raven.

Of course, in the old days, it was hilarious that the Great White and Ex GMC Supremo [ Finlay Scott] had a nickname and was known to his chums as "Fin". Of course, I have been calling him the Great White for years and only recently discovered his nickname. I am sure Fin didn't mind really. I think he quite liked to think of himself as a large flapping fish with sharp Colgate teeth. I must say that writing about Fin was far more exciting than the current bald guppy in charge. Something ironic about the name Niall Dick-son.

Perhaps I just have a dark sense of humor about these aspects but levity is important.

Dashing David Southall Wins Appeal

We know Why Mary Was Inspired.

Finally, the original arguments I had discussed with David many years ago have now seen the light - Supergeek David has won his appeal. See this article here.

Also read the judgment here.

It has been a long road for David. He has never given up and I think that is one of the most admirable things to observe in this case. David is a good friend of mine. I have always supported his case and I am pleased that Mary O Rourke finally managed to wolf down the optimum amount of Belgian chocolates to achieve success. I have always said that Mary performs her best on the David Southall's cases. This is essentially due to the fact that David's sex appeal [even at of 60 plus] tends to push Mary into serotonin overload. Hell, we all asked her how she concentrated on her papers with David sitting next to her. Rumours were rife that she often had repeated hot flushes. Mary blamed her low MDU paypacket for that.

Mary was found in a anxious state in the women's powder room at the RCJ trying desperately to keep her hormones in check. Revlon lipstick wasn't helping, neither was Ponds cream. She told everyone that a paper bag over David's head would never help anymore - it was too late. She lamented that the MDU had not cared about these adverse side effects and had not carried out the Health and Safety risk assessment. In response, the MDU insisted sexy clients were rare. Some years ago, the MDU had persuaded her to represent at the GMC. The catch was that Martin Forde QC and David Southall were sitting at opposite sides of her. She won against all odds there too. O Rourke insists that she has never developed a unidirectional squint towards David or Martin. We don't believe her for one minute.

David is of a age where he understands these problems women face. Afterall. legions of women had fainted in the corridors of City Hospital Stoke on Trent. Like a true gentleman, he was only too pleased to offer Mary some assistance. He essentially pottered down to the local choc shop, purchased large amounts of Thorntons chocolates [ as advised by me]. This was the key to combating Mary's hormone spikes. David knows all about biochemistry - that is because he is a swotty supergeek. On medical advice, Mary was last seen wolfing down David's chocolates before the hearing. This is why she ended up beating the GMC's sad excuse for a wig. Blackstones had offered up Monica Carss-Whisk Q.C. It was simple, Mary wore her wonderbra and the bint from Blackstone's couldn't find hers. Ms Whisk just didn't know how to accessorize. Moreover, the GMC had banned chocolate. Apparently, chocolate and Ms Whisk did not mix.

During the public fight on David Southall's case, I was one of the casualties. There have been many casualties before and after me. The complainant against him, complained about me. It ended my medical career and with that we all realized that doctors had no civil rights in this country. Of course, I didn't have as much luck as David. My barrister refused chocolate and promptly lost as predicted. Of course, the outcome of my own case R v General Medical Council Ex Parte Pal showed that

1. No doctor was safe
2. Child protection professionals were at greater risk than ever.
3. That no one was particularly listening.

Of course, David's appeal will never stop complaints from tracking through the system. R v GMC Ex Parte Pal makes it painfully easy for any nutcase to bring down a doctor. I doubt that the child protection professionals have any concept of the failings in law ie lack of directive for the Registrar when assessing complaints, lack of directive for the analysis of misconduct etc. It is actually free season for complainants and there is very little anyone can do about this.

This appeal result is a half way win - it is the kind of thing the judiciary engages in. No doubt, David will be back for round 2 in this battle of the titans to get his name totally cleared.

The Angel of Scientology is slowly having her wings clipped - online, off line and through the courts. Soon there will be a change of government and this Labour's Angel of Scientology residing in Wolverhampton will understand some important issues.

This short post is to say - that through the difficult times, the most important aspect is David's strength of character and determination to prove his innocence. I have not agreed with David on many aspects, but through our arguments, we have agreed to differ in many instances.

I like David - that was never a secret. Our paths run parallel and have always done from the days of Rod Griffiths to the same court rooms. I taught David all about chocolate :). Some things are essential in any battle.

Well done King David.

Conflict of Interest. David has sent me chocolate in the past. It had no impact on my hormones.
