Dr B Wins his Postponement.

Dr B. Playing GMC Roulette

In the last few posts, I have written about the General Medical Council's efforts to postpone the hearing for Dr A. I also reported the reluctance of Toni Smerdon, GMC Solicitor to provide a adjournment for Dr B.

At the 11th hour, Dr B has managed to achieve his postponement for a few weeks while he serves his pre-action documents. The decision was made by the Chairman of the Investigation Committee. Dr B had prepared his injunction ready to go when the decision floated in.

Dr B wins this point as litigant in person. This shows us all how unpredictable circumstances can be at the GMC. The above follows Dr B's consistent hard work for the last 54 hours, that too whilst ill.

Further jousting will begin soon enough. Right, time for a rest and some chocolates.

Khalid died and was buried in 642 in Emesa (Hims), Syria. He had wanted to die a martyr in the field of battle, and was apparently disappointed when he knew that he would die in bed. Khalid put all the torment of his soul into one last, anguished sentence:

I fought in so many battles seeking martyrdom that there is no place in my body but have a stabbing scar by a spear, a sword or a dagger, and yet here I am, dying on my bed like an old camel dies. May the eyes of the cowards never sleep. Ameen.

Thanks. It is only the grace of God that I have thus far survived. I must also acknowledge the kind help I receive from Rita, my Pal,

Dr B

As you well know, you have survived due to your own determination, persistence and never backing down to the GMC. Only the brave achieve what they seek and even if they don't achieve it, they pave the way for others to follow.
