Following on from the two pieces on Mobbing [ these can be read here and here] which have not pleased Professor Griffiths, Professor Rubin wrote the following large black lie in the BMJ.
"I want to make clear that any doctor who wants to report genuine concerns will have nothing to fear from the GMC. The GMC emphasises the responsibility of doctors to report their concerns and this is echoed throughout our guidance. In particular Good Medical Practice (2006) states both that doctors should raise concerns about inadequate resources and that they must protect patients from risk of harm posed by a colleague's conduct, performance or health. Raising Concerns (2006) makes clear that provided doctors have been honest, raising a concern is justified even if it turns out to be groundless"
Here is the GMC's own section on Probity.
So let us take a trip down memory lane and view a memo written by the General Medical Council's top henchmen. The GMC of course failed to implement a gagging clause that prevented these documents from seeing the light of day.

"I want to make clear that any doctor who wants to report genuine concerns will have nothing to fear from the GMC" Peter Rubin 2009
So come-on Professor Peter Rubin - answer the above. Tell the public why an investigation was reversed on the whistleblower on the strength of a " typographical error". This goes to show that despite a million degrees, a million titles, Professor Rubin cannot tell the truth . This is of course intellectual corruption. Rubin is covering up the GMC's misdemeanors. In the above case, the concerns on Ward 87 were justified and upheld by two internal hospital reports. The above case ended through a settled court case in my favour. The GMC failed to investigate or take up the concerns related to Ward 87.
During that time, the General Medical Council was labelled as a totalitarian regime by a High Court Judge.
As one commenter on this blog pointed out - Count Peter Rubin needs his teeth extracting each time he spews lies into the media. An immediate call out has been placed with the GDC. Dentists will hopefully be able to attend the General Medical Council complete with Fang Extraction Kit as an emergency.

There is a serious tension between s43 and s46-47 of GMP that can be re-mis-interpreted at the whim of the GMC Investigation Committee.
The same tension will infect revalidation. Is this totalitarian or McCarthy-ite, Professor ?
The present "public relations offensive" will not protect you from being the most loathed doctor ever to work in the UK.
How does that feel, Professor ?
.
ROFL and am still fit to burst! I will sue you if anything happens to my belly button as a result of prolonged risorius and pronounced hilarity.
Please say something serious, I can't get breath from laughing
Professor Jarman from Imperial College London should be running the GMC in my opinion. He has been a God send for our group here in Wigan, he would get our vote every time.

Who is Professor Jarman ?
Scrutiny,
I have heard many things relating to Wigan. Feel free to send me the data you have. I would like to review this.

I'm doing a night shift at the moment, I will forward some info in regards to the serious issues we are having at Wrightington Wigan and Leigh NHS FT, one of our team is in contact with a senior consultant at the Trust, this consultant is stating that WW&L NHS FT is another Mid Staffs.
Obviously you yourself will understand why this consultant wants to remain a whisper Blower as apposed to a whistle Blower. The treatment you received does not encourage doctors to whistle blow.
I will send some info tomorrow.

(Robust and Effective scrutinising for the people of Wigan) It is a challenge we are up for, bring it on NHS.
Very important to be a whisper-blower :). I love that term!
Well, you guys can always pen something for NHS Exposed and send it over to Simon at editor@nhsexposed.com . Media can sometimes pick it up from there.
Wigan has been criticised internally for some years now. I am sure there are many Trusts like Mid Staffs. North Staffs for instance has four times the compensation claims. This goes unnoticed of course. Many Trusts have high death rates - if you think about it, overall death rate scores have to increase phenomenally to make it statistically significant. Discrete deaths on Wards will go unnoticed as Ward 87 did. Had I not whistleblown - this absurd behaviour would have continued. As you can see, they all did a fab job of covering the death rate up, lost the dead patients names, never kept death rates, shut down complaints - you name it they did it.
Part of the reason for still whinging about Ward 87 is that I know many Trusts have high death rates - as the UK's death rate is much higher than any country in the EU. Just that the government don't admit it.
Check the Tax payers alliance's data on deaths in the UK. They are based on the WHO. Anyway, what do I know - I am just a mere whistleblower :)

Don't put yourself down your more than just a mere whistle blower in our eyes. Keep up the exposing if you know what I mean.
We here in Wigan are having a dam good go at exposing the reasons behind the appalling amount of unexpected deaths at our Trust. I have sent a dossier to the CQC investigations team, they update me weekly, not much happened so far though.
We are up against the whole system, Andy Burnham is our local MP, not had much help from him either, don't think he wants another Mid Staffs before an election.
I filmed a CURE protest outside one of his surgeries, the BBC took my film, if you google "Julie Bailey" on the BBC website and locate the article dated 1/10/09 a shortened 3 min version of my film can be located. You can hear me grill Mr Burnham as he is being grilled by Julie Bailey. My interview technique is a bit Auther Scargill /Pete Burns (Big Brother fame)but hey I did get my points across.
Anyway got to go now, got werk to do :-)
P.S. I have sent some info already to the guys at NHS Exposed, see if you can locate it. I'll send some stuff tomorrow anyway.
Catch you later,
M.C.
