Keep up the good work in all areas that you are covering. NHS Exposed and yourself are an inspiration for groups like ours, you sing our tune.

We here in Wigan are pushing hard for a CQC investigation into high HSMRs' for recent years. 07/08 HSMR was 126.5 equating to that year being 26.5% more deadly than it should have been. We estimate that in excess of 350 patients died unexpecdedly that year. 08/09 year showed improvement in HSMR score but the Trust have increased their expected deaths (this will reduce HSMR without Trust physically doing anything), the Trust has increased its expected deaths despite Whelley hospital being closed down, we strongly feel that due to one of the Trusts hospitals closing down that their expected deaths should decrease, we here in Wigan are challenging this Trust strongly in all areas.

We are only members of the public but feel we are holding our own so to speak. We feel strongly that we are making some impact. Like we say keep up the exposing, it is an inspiration.
