Chocolate Fruitcake

Witchdoctor is cooking. Her black cat is going to become fat. Anyway, I thought I would patter around and think about cooking as well.

One thing I am good at is baking cakes. Indeed, my cakes were infamous a few years ago. I am modest as well of course. I find cooking a bit like medicine. Variations on a recipe. Last Christmas, I discovered Nigella Lawson and bought her book. Nigella is liked by men because her cookery simply spells sex. My cookery doesn't because all men simply sit and eat in large quantities then promptly fall asleep. That's usually the deviation of blood supply from the brain to the stomach. That is often what men do in general. Anyway, I thought I would feature one of her videos. I always find Nigella quite entertaining in general. Nigella always makes food so appetising.

Next week is Christmas and yep, I am going to be eating - chocolate normally in large quantities despite a medical ban.

One thing that I am fortunate about is not being oncall during Christmas. Having spent years oncall over Christmas treating patients in my Santa hat and tinsel hair, it is actually great to place my brain off the hook and have some fun.
