Everything For Love

Well what can I say about Adam Osborne apart from the fact I do actually feel very sorry for him. His apparent fall from grace may be a further embarassment for his family. That is because his family are conservatives and the higher you are, the rougher the fall. I suppose there is a fascination about the downfall of the upper echelons of society. They hurt just the same as all of us. Circumstances are probably more difficult for them. They have society's expectations, they are well brought up. They are gentlemen. They are told never to tell on a lady even if she smites you to hell. This kind of attitude has never got a man anywhere of course. Nevertheless, Dr Osborne seems to have been controlled by his emotions.

The News of the World has believed the word of a half baked hooker who would do anything for money.

It just goes to show that Adam gets nothing for trying to help a prostitute in trouble. If anyone looks at the prescriptions, they were your average barn door prescriptions to control withdrawal from addictive drugs. For those who don't know about Withdrawal, it can kill people. You can just look it up on the internet.

This doesn't mean he was right in supplying them. It simply means he was driven by his emotions to help someone he clearly liked. Dr Osborne tried to help her and she kicked him right inbetween his eyes.

At this time her cocaine use was spiralling out of control and she was snorting more than 18 grams a week, leading her to suffer what’s known as ‘cocaine bugs’.

“The hallucinations were terrifying, I could see spiders and bugs crawling out of the wall. It felt like they were under my skin,” she said.

One night, in desperation, she called Dr Osborne for help.

She said: “Adam came to my flat and took me to his home. Then he drove me to Wythenshawe Hospital. He took me into one of the bedrooms where the medical staff sleep and gave me some sedatives and anti-psychotic pills and left me to fall asleep"

And of course, if he hadn't helped her, she may have been found dead in a ditch. Would the GMC have preferred that then? Of course, her life would just have been on the statistics register of the many who just die of withdrawal or illicit drug overdose.

Anyway, I am not concerned with Adam's supposedly dubious sexual habits. Lots of doctors sleep with prostitutes. They just don't get caught doing it. I simply hope the sex was better than the personal qualities of the tart in question. Adam though seems to have had a soft spot for her. Someone he could confide in, someone who was not part of his social life of high expectations.

And then there is Adam's Text to her asking her not to contact him.

Adam was clearly guilt ridden. A man who had many expectations of him.

Following this, the tart would have got annoyed and decided to sell him out. Of course, this is the sort of salacious case that falls nice in the middle of the GMC's lap. The GMC loves sex stories probably because none of them are capable of having any sex themselves. In the GMC, the word of a skanky tart is more honourable than that of a doctor. And of course, the GMC is the lapdog of the running corrupt Labour Party. The GMC will do the work of the Labour Party if requested.

At the GMC, they think that everyone lies apart from tarts and revengeful patients. They are considered the pillars of society and many men have gone down on their words alone.

So Adam may have broken all the rules or did he? We have never heard Adam's side of the story as yet. Of course, if Adam doesn't get his act together and set the record straight, I suspect this prostitute may well become a very rich prostitute.

There ain't anything like a woman scorned.

Oh and look at Adam's skankly cowardly defence union who have deserted him

Yes, the Medical Protection Society has run out on him like the true cowards they are. So what happened to all those years Adam paid his subs to them?

The bottomline here is that Dr Osbourne never killed a patient but tried to help someone who was addicted and troubled. Admittedly, he should have referred her to the local A and E and got her sorted out from there but we don't know the personal circumstances nor do we know whether she was blackmailing him by threatening to tell his family.

So essentially, the news here is that if you kill a patient, the MPS represents you, if you have complex personal issues leading to problems, the MPS runs out on you. This is the sort of legless, spineless, cowardly behaviour we have learned to expect from MPS Towers.

In any case, I think Adam is better off without the creepy gutless MPS who has never done anything for doctors apart from suck their money off them like little vampires.

His family should get him the best barrister that money can buy who should show this case up for the case it is - a revengeful tactic by a tart. Unlike other doctors, his family has the money to buy the best. And thats lucky for them because the rest of the doctors don't have that advantage. I certainly don't have that advantage.

What we have here is a revenge action from a Prostitute. This tart has decided to pretend to be angelic and sell herself to the media because Dr Osbourne deserted her. If he had not deserted her, Osbourne would not be in this predicament. He would of course be blackmailed for quite a bit of money probably.

We as the audience are supposed to believe this woman who does anything for money. Sure, the average public will go " Ahhhhhhhhhhh" look at him - he has been naughty! Of course, we still live in the Victorian age of judgments.

Is this the best the News of the World can do. Of course, it would be too much to expect them all to feature the real issues of death in the NHS.

I don't have to defend Adam because he probably wouldn't defend me. I do though have to say that Adam has been silly, has found himself embroiled in a situation due to his personal circumstances. Adam has a heart and he currently hurts. We don't know the truth of the tale really. I don't like the idea of a story based on the tales of a tart. Perhaps I needed something more substantial.

Not that tarts aren't credible but this one seems to be someone out to make a fast buck.

I do though know that Adam had better defend himself in the media because the GMC will catch him, drown him and leave him to die a professional death if he doesn't. There should be no " we must do the right thing" here which is what average posh doctors do. Adam has to mount a full scale defence in public and he has to do it now. Any failure to do it will cost him his GMC Registration.

In any case, no man should allow a tart to beat him although for some reason many men are crippled by manipulative women.

We judge Adam because we consider ourselves as human beings without failings. Adam though is like many of us - a human being who was clearly troubled and embroiled in circumstances that went beyond his control. It is patently clear that Adam was in love with this lady of the night.

Adam did not kill patients. He did not harm patients. He simply deviated from protocol to ensure this prostitute is alive. He is though about to be treated as Dr Shipman because the media like the upper class to be taken down a peg or two.

As most doctors know, I don't judge but I do help on many occasions so Adam is free to email me on rpal@btinternet.com . I am more trustworthy than the local tart down Balshall Health although the GMC often doesn't think so. Oh and just to confirm, there is no red light at my door although it is often a more respectful profession to be Belle Du Jour than undergo a rough divorce from the GMC.
