Justice Mackay is a fair judge. I should know because I won a Harassment Act 1997 application at the Royal Courts of Justice back in the early 2004. OK, I should crow and say he was rather impressed with my presentation as an Litigant in Person. Having beaten the barrister in the opposition, I went off to eat a large chocolate cake at the cafe opposite the RCJ. So I know Justice Mackay is a fair man. He obviously recognised the fact that the Paddington Green Police had essentially sabotaged their own case. Asha is a free man. My worry is this. I would have preferred a judgment where all the evidence was taken into consideration. The admissions below gives us all an impression that he got of on a technicality. There will always be that cloud of doubt.
Justice Mackay
He said so-called safety interviews at Paddington Green police station were 'unsatisfactory' and custody paperwork was unreliable. The judge said any incriminating evidence supplied by Dr Asha during the key interviews would have been ruled out. 'I respectfully suggest Counter Terrorism Command reviews the training of and advice to officers in this area of work,' he said.
So, Asha wants to work in the NHS, wants to fight for his life back on Legal Aid. No one would blame him if he is indeed innocent.
"Shortly before the end of the court case, the doctor was served with a deportation notice on the grounds that the visa had expired. After he was cleared, it was pointed out that he had already asked for an extension. Another deportation notice was then served on the grounds of national security, citing that his presence in the UK was not in the public interest"
Dr Asha remained in Belmarsh prison in South London yesterday as his solicitor Tayab Ali read a statement from his client, accusing the Government of 'sour grapes' over his acquittal. He said: 'Finally, justice has been done - a jury has cleared me of any involvement in these allegations. The jury had no doubts whatsoever that I am an innocent man.
'Even though I was acquitted, justice has not been done. I am still in HMP Belmarsh.'
I must say that his legal team did very well on the technicality issue. Congratulations to them. Now lets see the innocence though the factual evidence.
A handwritten poem pledging allegiance to Osama bin Laden was found at the home of one of the doctors accused of the London and Glasgow terror attacks, a court heard on Friday.
The document, in Arabic, was found in a wallet at the home of neurologist Mohammed Asha with his fingerprints on it.
When police examined his laptop they found Islamic extremist material that included video clips of the beheadings of hostages in Iraq, Woolwich Crown Court was told.
Anyhow, I am sure we all have to admit albeit reluctantly that he is an innocent man. I am sure there is now nothing preventing him from working in England and nothing preventing the GMC from registering him again. We simply have to hope that the plan wasn't to spring one person to carry out unfinished work. Now, we will never know.
For me, his innocent crowings don't seem that convincing. His compliments towards England seem a ruse of a charmer. His effusive love of England is even more concerning. His statements - or at least those quoted in the media don't seem to be the words of an innocent man caught in a nightmare. His entire conduct seems designed to buy the public's affections. Perhaps I am just cynical but he addresses the media as if he wants an NHS job and as if he is at an NHS interview. To me, he doesn't seem sincere.
Then again, I am a person accused of a needlestick injury, cleared by the Health and Safety but still considered guilty by North Staffordshire NHS Trust who have yet to apologise for framing me ten years ago. Asha though had better representation that I did. He had legal aid, I had the Medical Protection Society.

you bitch get your ass of the sofa and do some work if you want to be a successful doctor. Don't be hunting for others failures just to convince yourself that you're of any value. You are just what I call English trash, here in the U.S. we have white trash people and in England there is those English trashy people like you and your miserable peers. You stinky English muffins.
Thanks for that "rational comment". Where did you learn English again?
LOL - what a p****
A message to Sam Crock:
From the sounds of your posting, you have spent one too many days locked up in your trailer park watching your family and neighbours perform on Jerry Springer.
Strongly suggest you take an extra dose of your anti-psychotic medication and call your doctor in the morning for a repeat prescription.
Sam
I believe you are the fruitcake :)
:)
Sam is obviously a widely travelled and intelligent human being from across the pond. I deducted this from his superior language skills and his use of the popular vernacular.
His descriptive language shows that he has indeed had dealings with "white trash" and has a undoubtably indepth knowledge of the UK.
I am however, shocked that he believes that English Muffins are "stinky." Maybe during his next visit to Britain, he should try one with a little butter and some honey. I think he would find them much improved, although it is possible that the excrement that flows so fluidly within him may be tainting the smell of the muffin.
