French Vanilla Ice-cream. A Whistleblower Accessory

Post Media Stress

Well, again no one told me that a newspaper had again written about me. This is what happens persistently. I get to hear it via email. I like the Sunday Mercury, don't get me wrong. This weekend it was more important to them that a heart surgeon was found at a pool. I made it to a cool page 27 as did all the patients who died on Ward 87 North Staffordshire NHS Trust. So, finally, a newspaper prints a interesting summary but misses out the salient features - the fact that I had not one but two reports plus a expert report verifying my concerns. The long drawn out tale was summarised a few months ago but the wonderful Dr Rant.

What bothers me is that after all these years, the media is reluctant to say that I was vindicated by these reports. There is a lot said of the accusations that occurred but even in the tenth year, the public in Stoke On Trent are oblivious to the facts of Ward 87. I ought to say something about the MPS at this time but I have said so many awful things about them in the past, I think words are wasted. Essentially, I do publicly place the blame of this fiasco at their door. The BMA and the MPS attempted to silence the legitimate concerns and did not manage the situation properly at all. Their legacy is that for 10 years, I have had to crawl around in the cesspits of the NHS digging out fragments of evidence much like a sniffer dog.

This is written to archive the shoddy service from the defence unions/trade unions through to the NHS leaving a person to fend for themselves. So, no one can blame me for the fact that today I have resorted to French Vanilla Icecream and Gerswin in the background. Summertime always makes me believe that there are better days than today. That is the way I cope with disappointment. Tomorrow though is another day - so they say in Gone With the Wind.
