iwantgreatcare.org. The Trough Update

Mrs Bacon. Stiff Upper Snout

Fiona Bacon is company secretary to IWGC Limited [6632290]. It is day 5 since the launch of their attic room project. Dr Bacon still lacks insight. Is this a long term deep seated attitudinal problem? In the last 7 days, Mrs Bacon has seen the reputation of her husband plummet from Mr Goldenballs to local amoeba. The entire medical profession considers the company to be the weakest link. Dr Bacon is none too happy with the criticisms. He did an impression of a good foghorn and said the following about his critics :-

He told Pulse earlier this week

"There's a noisy minority who don't see the benefits of progress here, but a far, far larger number of doctors from all levels, primary care and secondary care, junior and senior, who are saying it’s fantastic, this will help me and it will help the patients themselves,' he said"

Oh it only it were a minority Dr Bacon. It seems that Dr Crippen is not happy. Witchdoctor is no doubt contemplating another spell.

The Jobbing Doctor Dr Kildare, has some more interesting things to say about our man Bacon.

"He is not working in clinical medicine. He is current a nerd developing a piss-poor Internet site; and he has been a junior hospital doctor for 18 years, but isn't even doing that now.So we are being guided by a clapped-out failed junior hospital doctor who is a nerd and a businessman"

oooooooh,
that was catty!

Would I call Neil a business man? Not with the sort of accounts I have seen :).

Kamran Abassi reports on Onmedica

"Darzi’s final Next Stage Review report, published two weeks ago, argues that top-down targets should be used only to ensure minimum standards are met and that quality outcomes should be measured throughout the NHS and the findings published to drive up quality of care"

Even the patients aren't convinced

"
Janie Thomas, of the patient group for Worcestershire Primary Care Trust, which represents patients in the county, said she had concerns about how secure the website would be. She said: “To rate a doctor it’s better to have randomised samples rather than an active patient group saying something on a website.”

Now, there must be some positives to Neil Bacon. Perhaps Fiona Bacon could tell us what these positives actually are. Perhaps he makes a good fry up? Perhaps he is a good kisser? Perhaps Fiona can wear a low cut top with a view to distracting her husband from the cyberwaves. If the assets of the company aren't good enough for that sort of uplift, I know where to buy an excellent wonderbra! He is a man after all and all men in my view can be distracted with enough effort. Fiona should attempt modelling lingerie for him. That would normally work for any man. It would certainly ensure Neil develops a unidirectional squint away from his computers. Perhaps Fiona just isn't trying hard enough. Perhaps Neil has to get Fiona to whisper sweet nothings like " Yes darling, you are still a specialist registrar despite not being on the Specialist Register. We are from Oxford, we don't need to be on the Specialist Register".

Yesterday, I suggested that he tied him up on their four poster bed and not be let out into the cyberworld for a whole year. Perhaps another sabbatical would do him good. He is now becoming a menace to the cyberwaves. His pet project is currently limping along much like an old man in desperate need of Viagra. Patients don't trust it, doctors don't trust it. We know why, that's because it's owner is not quite what he ought to be. In the meantime, we note the British Medical Association has pretended to be as silent as the lambs. Perhaps they ought to tell their members how they supported Pfizer and Viagra in the year 2000. We heard them then, crowing at the top of every roof in the UK. Shame they remain silent regarding iwantgreatcare.org. The BMA is able to defend the diamond pill but not able to defend doctors. Well, quelle surprise! Perhaps we ought to send a comment on Dr James Johnson on iwantgreatcare.org. That may prompt some action.

Perhaps Dr Varma should formulate his entry for the great Dr James Johnson who remains tight lipped about Dr Bacon's pet project. As James knows, we don't speculate, if we write it, its right.

This is from the Whistleblower Diaries. BMA Exposed.

"James Johnson the current Chairman has been under fire of late (www.bma-vote.co.uk). Long long ago in a land far far away, at North Cheshire Hospitals infact, Dr James Johnson was quoted in the BMA News as stating the following :-

"BMA council chairman James Johnson said: ‘

"Exclusion from practice can have a devastating effect on doctors and their families. Sometimes it is necessary but it is vital that, when it takes place, it is handled sensitively and speedily." (8th November 2003)

Of course, he had other ideas on the 4th September 2002 in the case of PRHO Dr Sushant Varma. Varma recently won his right to a retrial. These quotes have been dubbed " the smoking gun".

The Halton Hospital file note quoted BMA Chairman Dr James Johnson

"In terms of disciplinary- Jim thinks we ought to go through formal disciplinary process with legal advice and sack him. We may get done for unfair dismissal, but that may be the cheapest option in the longer term"

Dr James Johnson was also quoted as saying " He feels that Varma is likely to be labelled as a personality disorder if anything". The GMC Assessor's pronounced that there was no health issue in the case of Varma. There was also no diagnosis or labelling of a personality disorder.
We therefore wish to question whether this was dealt with "sensitively".
