We all always wonder whether the General Medical Council was actually right about Jennifer Colman. I used to think that the GMC were wrong but as time has gone by I am starting to believe they may well have had the right idea about Colman. Unlike the rest of us, Colman was actually struck off the Register.
She is of course back on but has never practised medicine. How would Dr Colman cope with Revalidation and Relicensing? Of course, if Dr Colman was such a great litigator, she would not have lost this case. In fact, Dr Colman has never practised as a doctor or as a barrister. So essentially, we call her a barrister by name only. She lost this case and she lost this case. We also ask ourself what Dr Colman was doing during the Dr Scot Jnr Fiasco. Advising caution like Dr Andrew Skinner?
So, Jennifer's connection with Brian Morgan and the Scientologist Award Winner are well known. Mr Brian Morgan admits to it their connection and of course there are various emails between the two [ an extract of one such mail is listed below]. These were emails essentially plotting to refer me to the General Medical Council. The evidence on Scientology between the journalist and Mellor is enclosed here. Colman has written endless emails to me asking me not to write on the subject of Penny Mellor. Why would she do this? Why would she protect a ex criminal and a would be Scientologist? Of course, as it turns out, she had many chats with Brian Morgan. For those who have not caught on, both Morgan and Mellor were featured here in the BMJ. Colman of course was quite happy to watch David Southall sink because according to her, his conduct was "none of her business". Of course, the same may apply to the case of Dr Scot Jnr. As a barrister, why wasn't Colman at the frontline of the campaign. Most of her crowings were about her own Deans NOT about Scot Jnr.
So we ask ourselves why anyone who professes to be a friend [of mine] would associate with such sordid people? For the answer to that, we all have to question Sedley, the lady who has access to many doctors on a Doctors Only Forum. Her most infamous act was to cite Dr S Vaidya has having some form of mental illness while he was fighting for his professional livelihood. at the GMC. Vaidya had no such illness. Vaidya though was stupid enough to fund £100,000 plus towards her failed litigation. That was the thanks she gave him. Jennifer Colman also has a self confessed bona fide diagnosis of PTSD. So far the General Medical Council has not looked at that in great depth. Dr Colman likes the Doctors Only website because there she can profess many things, she can warn on many things and those who see people at face value will be seduced by her barrister tones. She can even warn against me :). It is quite simple - I don't like backstabbers and I don't like those who treat people badly. I certainly did not like the manner in which she treated Dr Vaidya. Of course, everyone has to look a bit deeper within a person's character and not just at their qualifications.
So in summary, Dr Colman only has vested interests in herself. That is why she did nothing to assist Dr Scot Jnr.
So the evidence speaks for itself really - is anyone willing to allow access to all their secrets to Sedley or will she just use it against them? She of course still has contacts within the General Medical Council. We know in detail that she printed of emails from Dr Woodman on the Couch and sent them to the General Medical Council's health panel.
I am always of the view that life is fairly simple - friends don't stab each other in the back. It is true I have many faults and as people go, I dislike those with no ethics and those who take a back seat while other people are sinking.
Jennifer Colman though purposefully did collude and conspire with those who wished to harm me through the GMC recently. Perhaps I ought to disclose all her emails, perhaps just one will do :) for now.
We must not forget that Colman's best friend and resident helper is Peter Gooderham of Cardiff University. At least Peter backed up Dr Scot Jnr. Peter though lives in his Ivory Tower, selectively answers the questions and cannot quite admit to knowing Jennifer publicly. A nice enough man who means well. Peter is a ardent supporter of Jennifer Colman. Perhaps she plays the victim better than many of us do. It is an irony that Peter Gooderham is supported by PACA yet Jennifer Colman spews great bouts of criticism against PACA - the Child Protection Campaigners. Colman has also been against David Southall consistently.
Oh and just one more thing - I never say anything without having the evidence for it. Finally, Dr Richard Nicholson is Editor of Medical Ethics Bulletin. The title "Dr" is conferred via a Medical Degree. I also have a BSc :). I can drop the Dr title if everyone wishes. Makes no difference to me AT ALL. It is a pompous, tiresome title anyway. Those who want me to drop the title, please vote on here :)>. It ain't the title that makes the heart or the mind :)!
Secondly, its no skin off my nose - if the Doctors Only Website wants to back Colman, she is free to take over the GMC complaint against Needham and Paice. She can even take over the Scot Jnr campaign :). She can flaunt her "Dr" title and she can even flaunt her " barrister" title. But will she? Does he have the style or charisma to actually think up the tactical moves to protect any junior doctor? Or does she just use people to her own advantage? Dr Colman's phrase is that she has a position to maintain? What is that position? We are all waiting for her to win a case so she can live up to the reputation she has built for herself on the Doctors Only website!
