Professor Paice cannot Tell the Scottish What To Do.
Over the last few weeks of war against Fort NHS Highland, we have been besieged by women who have asked about the sex appeal of Dr Scot Jnr. I have been sent his profile and vital statistics by various sources and can confirm that Dr Scot Jnr is in fact expletive friendly and highly sexy. He is reputed to have smouldering eyes and dark hair. Apparently, he is of slim build and has legs to die for. He qualified from Aberdeen in the year 2000. He listens to the band " The Dead" and likes goal keeping. I hope that is enough to keep all the girls happy until next week. I have no idea if he is a taken man. He probably is. If that is so, she has probably found out what lies under his kilt :).

News from the Highlands is that dirt is being dug on Dr Scot Jnr. Matters are worsening for him due to NHS Highland's oppressive behaviour. Apparently, scapegoating is in force as we speak.

Just to warn NHS Highlands, if Dr Scot Jr is victimised in any way or form, the matter will end up with the General Medical Council or the courts. The initial complaint is malformed therefore any subsequent bad behaviour by NHS Highland will be held against them and they will have to justify themselves soon enough. I have had no response from the General Medical Council who are apparently still considering my complaint against Paice and Needham. I have also asked for confirmation as to whether Carol Black has supported Paice's complaint.

Further to the above, this means all you doctors-only forum posters can cease being paranoid about this new Act. Moreover, bloggers are safe to blog anonymously for the time being. As such, and given that our friend in Scotland needs some assistance, can as many doctors out there set up blogs anonymously so that we are able to mount an effective onslaught against the system. It is vital that the pressure is kept up. If the pressure isn't kept up, Dr Scot Jnr is likely to sink. This is also not just about one doctor but about the fundamental issue of free speech. If you do set up a blog, please inform one of us Dr Rant, Us, The Jobbing Doctor and the Witchdoctor and we will link to you.
Any of you who have blogs should start linking to posts related to Scot Jnr. That is the way to climb up the Google Surps. The media cannot be relied on forever although some of them are doing a sterling job. Northern Doctor, we need you on board because you have the language, the wit and the style. So far the bloggers together have enabled the issue to be raised in the Scottish and medical media. If there are enough of us - we can raise it UK wide and internationally. Bloggers hunt in packs said the Jobbing Doctor. We need more wolves. If anyone is in touch with Dr Crippen - please tell him that the war effort needs him. This is not the time to hide.

I'm not from the UK and have never worked there-but the infringement on this doctors rights really pissed me off.

Well, we have to make people notice then don't we!
This is a vile, dirty business and must be horribly upsetting for Dr Scot Jnr. You, Rita, and others who were quick to pick up and run with this know that this is also about a far bigger, filthier, covert culture of harassment, intimidation and silencing which is deeply embedded in the NHS (as in other public services).
It's an endemic, epidemic culture that callously destroys individuals and, no matter how good and consciencious they are at their jobs, casts them aside at the whim of power-mongers. It's a culture that has brought the NHS to its knees, if not its deathbed.
As the biggest employer in the land and with massive influence in everyones' lives, the NHS should - as it used to be - a beacon of care, constructive concern, and wholesome healing for all, a beacon for the nation even. A positive transformation of the NHS would translate speedily into a far more functional nation.
Instead, it's become a disempowering, disabling, safe, government-subsidised, harbour for callous, bullying beancounters, and those who are prepared to turn a blind eye, at best, and, at worst, wield the traitor's knife according to the bidding of egomaniacs and self-aggrandisers on anyone - doctor, nurse, cleaner, consultant, patient - who dares step out of line, who dares to make any criticisms (constructive, destructive, rude, whimsical or whatever).
It's clear to me (at least) that there are too few braw men-in-kilts (and women indeed!) who have the vision and the courage to genuinely tackle the problems. But, if they don't hie themselves into action soonish, there won't be an NHS left to do anything with, let alone play nurses and doctors!
