More than 18 GMC Files

Rita Pal et al
Cartoon by Angus Dei

This is his blog.

I have just received the above. What is quite worrying is that Angus [ who has never met me] or ventured into the GMC File Tomb is not completely wrong about the manner in which life is for me. He misses out the large flat table that is piled up with every document, newspaper cutting and file under the sun. This is what I term an "organised mess". This is because I know where every single piece of paper is from the last 10 years.

Angus gets the numbers of files wrong of course. This question has been asked of me repeatedly. I have a total of 51 files related to the General Medical Council. It isn't my fault that their £10,000 per day barrister coughs up complete drivel at all times of day and night. The least I can do is file their drivel neatly. All that for one typographical error and one link .

Do the GMC have any insight into how the average mortal mocks them on a daily basis? I know I do. They recently squealed like a pop bellied pig in their court papers. Apparently, I write material "critical" of the General Medical Council. Perish the thought? Me, critical? Never. Well, if I don't who else will and not only that, I am not in the business of allowing tomorrow's doctors be subjected to the same shitty behaviour I was subjected to.

The one good thing about the forthcoming judicial review against GMC Towers is that I can parody them to my heart's content. There is nothing like mocking those who take themselves too seriously. At £10,000 per day barrister fees, one would expect Mark Darcy representing the GMC. As every girl agrees, at that rate plus VAT, you need the physical goods. I have been calculating the sums of late, apparently its £600 if said GMC barrister goes for a piss. Might be more expensive if this is done with wig on or wig off. Apparently, VAT is added.

:) Fabulous cartoon. Loved it totally! Now, all Angus has to do is draw me right next to Mark Darcy! If I can't have this sort of talent in the Royal Courts of Justice, we are just going to have to draw it in.
