Hit Me Baby, One More Time.

A Welsh GP

Over the last few years, I have stood at the side lines and observed the rubbish the GMC have taken through their hallowed halls. I say this because despite the criticisms in the 2001 report related to Ward 87, no consultant was reprimanded or held accountable. They all continue to practise quite happily. Yet, the consultants, Dr John Green and Dr Monica Spitieri placed patients lives at risk. The General Medical Council was never concerned about the death rate on the ward or was it really concerned about the report verifying the issues I had raised with them in the year 2000. What the GMC was concerned about was making life for me a living hell and leaving the accountability of Ward 87 dead in a ditch. Having messed up, the General Medical Council UK used more than 1 million of doctors' subscription funds defending me in 2004, they currently continue to use more doctors' funds in defending a judicial review later this year. Did the GMC ever ask any of the doctors whether they wanted their money used in this way? Do doctors in the UK want their hard earned finances being spent defending the misdemeanors of the GMC?

The GMC's obsession with sexual innuendo has been self evident for many years. That is because they don't understand important things like patient safety or good patient care. That is why the GMC has the maximum number of whistleblowers within their system [ not me at present]. Their smutty mind has always been evident during the internal discussions of committee members. It is the sheer titillation of sex that the GMC feel compelled to whip. I have this theory, if the GMC Committee members spent more time having good sex and less time being lazy, they might be in a better state to think logically and rationally. I am merely following the advice dished out on NHS Direct.

It was no surprise when I was sent the tale of the Whip and Thong GP.

"A DOCTOR who broke down on a reality TV show has been rapped for insulting his patients and being rude to colleagues.

Dr George Skea worked as a GP for 10 years, with a stint at health centres in Rhymney, Caerphilly, and Abertillery, Blaenau Gwent, before becoming a psychiatric doctor. He even starred in an ITV1 fly-on-the-wall documentary called At The Doctors.

But the work load got too much for him – and the cameras filmed him storming out of his job after he reached the end of his tether in 2003.

Last week the Scot was pulled in front of the General Medical Council for a SECOND time after persistent inappropriate and unprofessional behaviour.

In April 2007 Dr Skea was ordered to be regularly reviewed by a senior after he suggested to a new GP that a female colleague would look good dressed in black leather knee-high boots, a whip and thong.

The GMC panel said: “During a telephone conversation with a paediatric SHO on November 11, 2004 you said ‘Hi, it’s George Skea here, one of the GPs on call, um, can I beg your indulgence please please and if you want to stick your big toe down I’ll suck it as well’.

“On Saturday, February 5 2005, the service manager for Gwent General Practice Out of Hours Service was introducing a new male GP to female staff at the Mamhilad Call Centre when you said words to the effect of ‘wait till you see her in her black leather knee-high boots and her whip and thong’.

You have admitted that your conduct on both occasions was inappropriate and unprofessional. The Panel is of the view that all colleagues and patients are entitled to expect a reasonable standard of courtesy and manners from you and it concurred with the assessors in the judgement that your relationship with colleagues and patients was unacceptable.”

So essentially, no one has a sense of humour!

And which patients were harmed during these comments? None, of course.

Of late we have been discussing the case of Dr Sean Connery of the Scotland Highlands Deanery who was apparently rude to Carol Black and then suspended following hag power. The story is fluctuating up and down faster than a bride's nightie, at first he was reinstated back to work then he wasn't, then no one was certain. I have no idea why Dr Sean Connery just doesn't email one of us. I checked the GMC register and he seems to be just fine so I wasn't worried. Maybe, Dr Connery is happily engaging in observational skills of thigh length boots and whips in his personal life. I certainly hope so because the boy needs a break.

It is though interesting to see that the GMC expects high standards of courtesy from doctors but does not feel it should adhere to this standard themselves. Having seen the memos in my case, I can fully conclude that the GMC are dirtbags and nothing more. The GMC admitted to a discreet and covert enquiry in my case. In normal terms, that means illegal activities. I wouldn't be surprised if GMC towers with their new powers were found hiding under the double bed of every doctor observing what they get up to behind closed doors.

Rita,

A little off topic here but I heard this the other day and thought of your plight with the GMC and certain others. This is one quote I shall be using for quite a while:

"Never wrestle with pigs, you both get dirty and the pig likes it."

LOL... might be words of wisdom to live by for all of us :-)

I knew of an SHO who said " patients with vaginismus had tight twats." This was at a medical conference, The GMC decided that it was not something they would investigate. This SHO was also been investigated for watching/passing around porn whilst he was on duty, which he admitted!!! this was investigated under stream 2. ( he got away scot free)

So some doctors can get away with being unprofessional and pervy.

Maybe the invesigating officer and himself belong to the same masonic lodge.

I would not want that SHO anywhere near me, and i don't think he should be allowed to preform examinations on women.

maybe i ought to tip of the journalist that wrote that article. about the real peverts in the NHS.
