Houston - We have Lift Off. Prof Paice and Needham Under Investigation By the GMC

We have lift Off

A long long time ago in a land far far away, I saw that Dr Scot Jnr was about to be roasted on the establishment pyre. My lateral action was to make the GMC complaint myself. The entire banter can be read here. The turning point in the Scot Jnr case was this post. It describes how a senior London Dean had misled the public on the issue of Good Medical Practise. The rest of the posts can be read on this website [ ie additions to the complaint].

Essentially, the complaint has passed the Registrar filtering stage and has progressed to "Investigation stage". The next issue remains the biased case examiners who are likely to support these two Deans.

During this complaint, anyone can email the GMC anonymously with their views or additional evidence which they will take into account.

My thanks to The Jobbing Doctor, Dr Rant, Witch Doctor, and Dr Wayne for their kick ass attitude that has been instrumental in the progress of this complaint. Deb Acle was fab in all her supportive work for the case. It hurts the mainstream journals to say that I actually made the complaint. It is covertly omitted from every journal and article this side of the planet. This is because they suffer hand cramp when writing my name. So, for the record, we aren't going to thank Dr Phil "I am a diva" Hammond because he did F all to back up these important issues. We are only going to thank the bloggers and the media outlets who supported this important issue in free speech. Remedy UK has some interesting views that can be read here.

Dear Dr Pal

Thank you for your emails regarding Dr Paice and Professor Needham.

The GMC intends to investigate the concerns you have raised and has allocated that responsibility to me. Please find enclosed a copy of our fact sheet that explains how we consider complaints about doctors and the kind of action that we can take. As you are aware, our Fitness to Practise procedures focus on the most serious concerns, which call into question a doctor’s fitness to practise and right to retain unrestricted registration – that is, his or her right to work.

In order to investigate the issues raised, I will need to contact Dr Paice, Professor Needham and their employers to provide them with a copy of your complaint. I need your consent to do this and would therefore be grateful if you could complete and return the enclosed consent form by 21 October 2008.

I look forward to receiving your completed consent form. In the meantime, please feel free to contact me on my direct dial number if you have any questions.

Yours sincerely

They will pretty much have to do something-as it looks unbelievably bad for a regulatory body that is supposed to inspire public confidence in the medical profession to condone abuse of power.
Well done!

Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. No one is safe from the GMC!

Well done Rita!!!

You are a shining light in the dark days of GMC madness!

Rita,

I respect for your action. A very brave thing to do.

The GMC will allow the euphoria over Dr Scot's reinstatement to pass. Then they will quietly drop the case against Elisabeth Paice. Holding Paice to account will mean bringing to light the abuse, incompetence and illegalities of her two best friends Catto, GMC's President and Finlay Scott.

The GMC's fraudulent clerks are just leading you on.
