Turning the Heat Up. Colin Firth Minus Shirt

This is me, frozen

Sexy Colin Firth - Yep. Time to Warm Up Girls

To warm up, I was sent a article about Colin Firth's "taking his clothes of and dunking in the water scene" from Pride and Prejudice. I was only young and impressionable at the time, a mere fledgling when it came to anatomy. I learn fast. Well, what can I say, since that day, the image of Firth has stuck in my brain and has never disappeared. It is a good photograph to default to. I have always moaned that my barristers don't look like Colin Firth or act like him but thats the Bar Council's fault.

Nevertheless, recently, I found out that old Cols didn't take his clothes off, it was a STUNT MAN. I was shocked!

The Telegraph says

"We didn't want our leading man to catch Weil's disease, which can be caught from rat urine in water."

It was one of many problems the crew encountered when setting up the moment in which Mr Darcy takes an impromptu swim before meeting Elizabeth Bennet, the object of his unfulfilled desire.

It was originally intended that Firth should strip off and leap into the water naked.

But this had to be changed because the BBC felt nudity would be too much for a Jane Austen costume drama.

Of course, we all wanted him to strip off and leap into the water naked. For god sake! :). I want my BBC License fee back!

Ah Rita, yet another dream shattered, but the good side is that the stunt man could be "eye candy"
